Now the museum has hall, showroom, etc. more than 50 rooms, collecting artifacts nearly 2 million. The vast majority of artifacts reflecting the content of Greek mythology. Besides there are treasures and potteries excavated in the same My-cenae bronze-age sites, together with the prehistoric relics unearthed in the Peloponnese.

Room No. 15, the bronze statue of Poseidon (Poseidon of atremision), 21 juveniles and horse Room (Horse and Jockey Of a-remision), and left standing in chronological display Kouroi who mediated, are not to be missed collection. There are also frescos unearthed from Akrotiri, in south Santorini. These frescos discribe a picture of daily life, such as boxing young man, navigation and so on. Further more, there is no airconditioner in most of showingrooms. So it is suggested that you visit there early in order to avoid crowd besides it will be cool. It is not clear about most of the relics,some have no English explanations, so you'd better buy an English tourist handbook, so that you won't regret to this visit.
