His agent, Gary Moore, said “He still wants to continue his match, which is absolutely right. There is no doubt that all the people believe so. He will keep his training everyday until other people summon him.”

After parting with the Grizzlies, it is reported by “New York Daily News” that the Knicks might sign Allen Iverson. The team president, Donnie Walsh, said “We will consider how to sign him. However, I can only say it is impossible now, we will see how things develop.” Moore has not heard any news from the Knicks, but Moore said that if he can serve for New York, Iverson will be very happy, if the Knicks really interested in Iverson's "answer". "That's one of the places he wanted to serve most," said Moore, "He likes the tactical style of Mike D'Antoni, and he also respected Downey Walsh, if the news is true, we would be quite happy." "We do not want to express our opinions too early, but there is a point can be sured that Iverson is willing to join this team, because that allows him to be closer to his family. His family is in Philadelphia, while his wife has her home in New York too.”

On November 7th, Grizzlies agree Allen Iverson left the team for his personal matters, but his departure just want to show his discontent about in his role in the Grizzlies. Iverson only played three games for Memphis, and he was the alternate in every game.

Moore said that Iverson has stayed in Atlanta with his families these days. Moore also appreciated to Grizzlies’ president Michael Haislip with the continuous support for Iverson. Each time when Iverson goes on his profession in Detroit, Denver and Philadelphia, his wife and children would accompanied him to relocate to various cities, but when he joined the Grizzlies, his family members never come to Memphis with him. Moore said it was difficult for Iverson to separate from his family. That is why he preferred to serve a team in eastern part. "He is high-spirited," said Moore," nothing will hurt his spirit, but this time it is a must for him. God and family are in the first place, while football is in the second place.

Iverson became a free player this summer, but before he joined Memphis with a contract of 3.1 million dollars one year, there rarely were teams interested in him. Clippers had wanted to take him, but their talks finally ended in failure when Iverson made it clear that he must be given a place in the starting line-up. After Iverson's departure from Grizzle, it is predicted that the chief managers and seniors of many teams would not try to sign him. Moore said that although no team had made contact with Iverson yet, the 34-year-old veteran would still fight in NBA rather than playing abroad.

Moore said that if signing up with a competitive team which is able to compete for championship, and then Iverson would agree to serve as the substitute of the team. “If he can ally an acceptable ball team with suitable environment, the starting member is not indispensable.” Moore said.
