The appropriate way is to accept the criticism and take measure to solve the bad result positively. Then when the superior investigate the reason further, you should work with him carefully to find the truth step by step. Thus, that what responsibility you should take for, what others should and what is inevitable objective factors will eventually come to a fair conclusion. You should learn to be patient, otherwise, it often the haste makes waste.

To correct mistake once you realise it. Learn lessons from failure. Your leaders and colleagues will appreciate that. According to the observation of psychologist, when humans see the mistook person who is with deep hatred and resentment and have the attitude of self-accusation as well as try his best to correct, majorities will arise the heart of sympathy.
